The coronavirus crisis has created a very uncertain time for us all. We at PlayyOn hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. As a company, our whole purpose is helping people come together to be part of an experience and community that is important to them. Yet, now we are being asked to keep away from each other for the greater good. It feels strange and unreal.
PlayyOn recognizes that its customers are the beating hearts of those community activities. Internally, we call you “organizers,” and we deeply appreciate the role you play in making your own groups and communities feel valued and connected. We hope that PlayyOn can continue to support your efforts in these unusual circumstances.
Here are 3 steps you can take today:
- Stay in touch with your participants and customers
Proactively share important information with your customers using PlayyOn features such as your landing page, the ‘News’ feature, showcases, emails or however you typically connect. Remember that you can post important information in your ‘showcases’ for quick viewing. You might include information about the measures you’re taking to make your programs safe, or how you might alter your programs’ schedule. - Try hosting online events
Keep everyone engaged! Try hosting a webinar or organize live training sessions. Alternatively, push out instructional videos you might find on YouTube. PlayyOn has ‘Virtual Events’ you can set up to send out to your community. Here is a quick video on how to make that happen: - Post a list of frequently asked questions
Prepare a list of responses for questions your customers are likely to ask, and provide as much detail and reassurance as possible in your answers. Here is an example of what an FAQ could look like:- Q: Is the season cancelled?
- A: For now, the season is postponed. We will know more in 10 to 14 days. Our goal is to have more perspective by April 3rd.
- Q: Can I still train with a coach?
- A: We can set up some one-on-one training. Check out our current registration options.
Finally, thank you for doing what you do as organizers. We’ve been fortunate to support you in the past, and it’s a pleasure and privilege to continue to serve you. We’ll all get through this eventually – and it’ll be in no small part due to people like you!
